Sugar Rush Say Thanks

Thank you to everyone who's signed the Sugar Rush petition on the LoveGirls website. It's really amazing reading your comments.

We're glad so many of you enjoyed the series as we had such fun making it. Last winter, we were on the Brighton seafront at two in the morning, filming a little fantasy scene (later cut) where Kim, dressed as a gangster, is surrounded by adoring, beautiful women. There were also loads of extras around – girls dressed as drag kings, waiting to film a later scene. Meanwhile, the clubs on Brighton seafront were closing for the night, and the clubbers couldn't believe their eyes! That night was what Sugar Rush was all about – bringing a bit of surreal sexiness and craziness to the world.

When we first started working on Sugar Rush, we thought the scripts were good but we didn't realise what a big impact the series would have on people. Maybe the series struck a chord because everyone's fallen for their best friend at one time or another. Over the last couple of years, we've had loads of letters from girls saying they're going through the same emotions that Kim's going through. It means a lot to us when you tell us that we got it right.

Your support for Sugar Rush is overwhelming, and we hope that Channel 4 listen to you, their loyal viewers! As some of you commented, Kim and Sugar were meant to be, together, forever...

As a way of saying thank you the production company Shine have promised us a prop from the show. I can't tell you what it is until Wednesday when I get to go down and rifle through what they have kept, but I promise I will choose something awesome for you.

Also it's the BAFTA's on Sunday and Sugar Rush is up for Best Drama Series so keep your fingers crossed for them.
