LoveGirls: What do you think of the Candy Bar?
Lil Jo: It's great; it's the Candy Bar and always will be! It's had a very pretty facelift recently and has moved and changed with the times.

There are many things I would consider trying. Try everything once they say. Throw yourself out of an airplane, eat a dish of octopus, even pot-holing in Wales. But going on a blind date? Frankly I'd rather run into a wall with forks in my eyes. So when I decided to go on a blind date for LoveGirls in the name of research, I did so with a large helping of cynicism and low expectations.

America. Land of the free. I'm in Florida, the sunshine state. Home to Disney, NASA and alligators. I'm driving along the huge 8 lane highway that is Interstate 4. While approaching exit 64 I catch it out of the corner of my eye. There, shimmering in the heat like an oasis of tackiness and saturated fat a bright orange sign shouts 'Hooters'. Unable to resist, I pilot my ridiculously large hired 4x4 to the car park.

For the uninitiated, Hooters is a burgers 'n' ribs restaurant with a difference. It is as politically incorrect as you can get. Waitresses, sporting bright orange hot pants and white tank tops, serving you with enthusiasm that would make your momma proud.

In Part Two of our interview the Sugar Rush stars Olivia Hallinan and Lenora Crichlow tell us about Channel 4’s shock cancellation of the award winning show and why Angelina Jolie is the only girl for Lenora.

LoveGirls: How important is the show to the lesbian community?

Lenora: The feedback we’ve had tells us it's been really important. We went to the Stonewall awards and several women came up to us and said it was so refreshing to see lesbians just being girly, being teenagers and they’re not all you know stereotypical with shaved heads and burning their bras ...

The Candy Bar. The most popular lesbian bar in London's metropolis and a sweetly apt location for meeting the Sugar Rush babes Olivia Hallinan and Lenora Crichlow. In Part One of our interview the actresses speak frankly to LoveGirls about their roles in the show and what it was like playing television's hottest teenage lesbians.

The 'Thruster' Rampant Rabbit ... it does exactly what it says on the box! (Which it didn't stay in for very long). Taking it out, the colour of it, blue and sparkly, it's not an unattractive looking vibrator, some may even consider it sexy ...
