Candy Bar! Ok I admit raving about the place when I first came out on the scene over a decade ago and it is so disappointing that it hasn't got any bigger. I only go there as a last resort now as there is so much more out there these days for women, and as much as I love the strippers I would rather queue up to get into one of the many lesbian fetish clubs for some hotter action! Although it is a women only bar it is not a rare occurrence for straight/bi couples to proposition you for a threesome!

Candy Bar still has its good points though. Its the kind of bar you would want to go to when you first venture onto the scene as there are always a mixed variety of ladies on offer and even if you are really shy you are guaranteed to make some lesbian friends to show you the ropes, if not pull a bird or two! It caters for diverse tastes.
Thursday nights are dedicated to the Pole dancers with a backdrop of uplifting house and RnB.
The Grind on Frinday with one of my favourite DJ's MC Brandy pumping out sexy hot RnB tunes that make you have the need to shake that thang.
Saturdays are also all about the Pole dancers (you can never get enough of them) with Funky House music to help fill the gap between each dance act.
Tuesday nights used to be also a strip night but I believe it's now changed to an Indie night.
Wednesday night is Karaoke night so be prepared for some bad singing although I have been pleasantly surprised errr em once before?
Sundays are now an open mic night with acoustic live acts etc.
There are always lots of themed nights with giveaways, competitions, party nights etc. to maintain a fresh vibe.
I guess Candy Bar isn't that bad, but it's jus much tooooo small and the queuing just aint cricket!!!!

I use 2 adore Candy Bar, especially when i came out! It opened my eyes 2 a fabulous world of gorgeous women..... as time has passed by, i now cant stand the place. I personally feel, its a cattle meat market with mullets (nothing against mullet hair style). The place is cramped, hot, you queue up half the night 2 c the strippers downstairs & its toooooooo damn small in there! I advise anyone 2 go somewhere else (Candy bar in Brighton is fab!). If you're new on the scene then try it out....... tell me what you think??????

Been to the Candy Bar quite a few times, it was in fact the first lesbian bar I went to when I first came out! (it popped my lil lesbian bar cherry!! he he!)

It's a cool bar, loved the music each time I've been there (mostly RnB/Hip Hop so if you like that then you'll enjoy!)

The only thing that lets it down, is it's size, although on three floors, each floor is quite small and it gets very cramped, on a busy night especially you have to queue for quite a while before getting downstairs to dance.

I do love the fact that it's girls only though, and as we haven't got the widest choice of girls only bars then you gotta give it credit for that alone!
