omg omg omg i loved sugar rush ,, cos it was an amazing show to watch and gave people courage
about their sexualities altough in straight the show was soo fuckin good and i cant believe
that it ended in an sort of cliffhanger u know like what the F*** there needs to be another
episode cos people liked the show its obvious grrrrr chanel 4 y cancel 4 people watched it
diditn they arghhhhhhhhhhhhh
and also there is jardly anythin intrestin on tv anymore

Sugar Rush was a really good show and offered a fresh look on being a teenager and coming out.
It was so different because it didn't rely on any stereotypes. We need something like that on
our screens. I started watching it as I was toying with the idea of coming out and it did make
the experience less daunting. Give us one last series!!

I don't know what to say.. I recently discover this TV series, and I can't
believe that is not going to be 3th season. That is such disappoint. I really hope that Channel

It was a really wonderful, one of the better TV-series I've seen in years. I'm a 35 year old
straight male from Sweden, still I enjoyed the show immensly - without even embracing my inner
lesbian at all, save one or two brief moments. Wonderfully portraited characters. Absolute
brilliant show. I have no idea about what Channel 4 is. All I have to say is - make the season
3 allready. Don't be idiots. The world is now watching you.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make another series! It is by far the BEST thing on TV, and really helped
me when I was going through my little sexuality debate! For godssake Channel 4, it's a public
service! Seeing as BB had it's lowest ever ratings last time round, I really think you could

I'm so dissapointed. It is such a shame. I know the girls are really upset about it, but could
they not record the show without it being broadcasted. Like make it a special DVD? would be
such a cool idea.. I guess people would have to wait almost a year to watch it but atleast we'd
see an ending at last. Channel 4 really suck, and tbh I'm not going to watch channel 4 ever
again. I really love sugar rush. It was the best tv series ever and I'm devastated it's gone :(
I know I'm not a girl and I'm a boy, But sugar rush is such an amazing program and reflects on
real life situations., It's helped thousands of people and has dealt with some of the most real
life situations. Boooo Channel 4. You Suck Big Time!!!!! Big Brother is crap, who wants to
watch that like 24 hours of a day... :(

I read the book b4 I saw the series & absolutely loved it. I think I kind of love the show even
more, even though there were some changes within the characters I think all of them done
brilliant jobs at portraying what they were really about & what they stood 4.
I am, a
straight 16 year old girl & I think its amazing at how many relevant issues sugar rush deals
with 4 teenagers of this generation (even if some of it was slightly over exaggerated :P) - the
drugs, drink, relationship problems with friends/family/partners, trying to find who you really
are ect ect. And because of this it had broad range of viewers of all ages, races &
sexualities. I know this word is used a lot but sugar rush really was refreshing to watch & I
genuinely do think it was bad idea to cancel it. So pleeeeeeeeeaase bring back SUGAR RUSH!

it's heartbreaking to know that sugar rush is ending....i think there are a lot of people [like
me] who enjoys watching these show and aside from that learning something from it...these show
is amazing and ending it would not be good especially for those who are inspired by the

Hi,
I'm a heterosexual 40 year old male and I loved this show. Not just because of the
believable loving lesbian relationships, but also the supporting cast which showed that we're
all have different personalities & hang-ups. But that any sexual practice or orientation is ok,
as long as it's done with love & understanding.

This is a great show. I can't believe channel 4 dropped it, especially since all the characters
had been developed so well in the first two series. It's says alot about TV today,that channel
4 replaced a cleverly written fiction programme for a cheaply-made reality TV rubbish! Sugar
Rush broke barriers because it portrayed lesbians as normal women, and not some stereoptype
with a crew cut. Bring back Sugar Rush!!!

i cannot believe it's been cancelled, im a little behind though! didnt actually realise it was,
and to be honest im not at all happy now iv found out. im addicted to sugar rush the way the
characters connected with each other. and i always thought sugar and kim would end up together.
now we'll never know. it's got to come back. the show is just awesome, really, really awesome.

I miss Sugar Rush so much. It's heart breaking to not have a third series. It was so well
written and acted with great production. Channel 4 do you realise that Sugar Rush has a

i've only just found out that theres not going to be a third series and i'm really
disappointed. i thought there would definately be another one, especially after Sugar moves in
with Kim and Saint and Stella gets pregnant. how could they cancel it? it was a brilliant show,
it was funny and i could relate to it. it was different and wish they could have finished it
off with one last series just so we could see what happened! i have the first two series on DVD
so i'll be watching those again soon, it's impossible to get bored of it. love the show and i
love Kim snd Sugar :) Olivia and Lenora were perfect for the parts :) and i also think they
should work together again because their amazing!

this show has done so much to help me accept myself for who i am. i know it's only a television
show, but the first time i saw it i realised that just because i was gay didn't mean i was a
freak and learned to not be ashamed of myself. i dearly love this show, and would be overjoyed
if it was brought back for a third season.
also, olivia hallinan is an extremely talented
actress!

in all fairness the amount of shows on terrestrial uk tv featuring gay characters are
plentiful: wiil&grace, queer eye for the straight guy, queer as folk, etc etc. how many of them
contain lesbian characters??? NONE ZERO ZIP!!! bring back sugar rush it brought a much needed
diversity to tv! next thing ul b telling me they're gonna cancel the L word on living!??

Channel 4 were wrong to cancel Sugar Rush, as it has gained sooo many fans.It needs to back on

I only discovered the series recently but it's freaky how closely I related with Kim's
character. There's no other show on this earth I think that appeals to, dare I say it, lesbians
like this one does. Watching this show made me realise that just because I'm gay doesn't mean
I'm a freak, and that we're not all crazy eccentric butch women with moustaches. It deals with
issues that we're going through, which really helps. I know it's already been a year since the
show's been cancelled, but I sincerley wish that it would be brought back by channel 4.

I live in Australia so we dont get to watch the programme on regular television. We purchased
series 1 and 2 over the net and have just finished watching it. It was fantastic and we felt
like we had stumbled across this little gem of a program that was not only halarious but
covered a range of topics in such a refreshing way.
I have since heard that the makers of
the programme, Channel 4 UK, have cancelled SugarRush series 3 in favour of exending the Big
Brother timeslot. It seems that television executives have not thought this through? As we know
there are VERY FEW television shows that contain gay and lesbian content that can also appeal
to the straight community. America's the L Word is one and the two very popular series Queer As
Folk are possible two others. Channel 4 had a real opportunity here to excell in the niche (and
very lucrutive) gay and lesbian market. Here in Australia SugarRush is just starting to become
know and it wont be long before lesbians and straight veiwers alike will be crying out for
series 3. PLEASE rethink your decision and bring back SugarRush.

why has channel 4 play us like this,am a 27 year old gay women and in all my born days have
never seen such a well written,well acted program in my life and at the time the first series
aired i'd just come out of the most messyist relationship of my life and ladys i've had a
few,sugar rush reminded me of when i first came out and how far i'd come also that i was not
alone.Who cares if channel 4 aired sugar rush at supid o'clock in the morning i'd still watch
it regardless also so channel 4 have just repeted the second series of suger rush so to me
there is a time slot for another series so there willing to get there hands in there pockets
for big brother which is aired, repeted and replayed till are minds go numb, channel 4 you are
the bumhole of tv and have let gay people of england down.What do we want the third series of

im agreeing with bits of everything that has been said so far, big brother is, or actually HAS
gone downhill, only people with no life watch the "programme". in fact big brother isnt even a
programme. last week i tuned into channel 4 just to see what was actually being shown only to
find repeats of sugar rush series 2 being shown, which made me and a few of my friends angry to
the fact that they could've made a 3rd series and use that time slot of where they are showing
the reruns to show series 3. if channel 4 are running out of ideas on what to show on tv, and
are continously showing repeats of a huge majority of channel 4 programs, why cant they look at
their tv schedule, see wot they are repeating (and a repeat they are repeating WAY TOO MANY tv
programs) and cancel some of them out to make room for a program that is loved and very much

I only just finished watching the second series of Sugar Rush on DVD and I have to say I am
gutted that there isn't going to be a third series. I've been comfortable with my sexuality for
a fairly long time and have recently been even more accepting of it, but I found the story of
Kim fascinating. I could really relate to what she was going through as I am sure many other
women will be able to as well. It's a sad day when companies like channel 4 choose a house full
of monkeys over a drama that addresses real issues not only for lesbian or bisexual women but
for straight people and more importantly teenagers. There is enough rubbish on TV as it is and
when something good slips through they shun it. Sugar rush is important and influential and
it's nice to have something that is entertaining that people can relate to. We NEED a third
series even just to save us from the mundane nonsense that is Big Brother. I don't want to be a
zombie thank you very much. SAVE SUGAR RUSH DAMN THE MAN!

Why is it whenever a lesbian based show or couple in a show, start to get really popular one of
them turns straight or leaves/dies or in this case gets cut for rubbish like BB its

This was my favourite show I can't believe they cancelled it just for big brother, I only found

I like BB but not that much, its on far to much. I'm not a lesbian but i love the show, C4 are
showing reruns of series 2 on wednesdays after Will and Grace so why couldnt they have put a

hi, i'd just like to say how upset and truely gutted i am that sugar rush has been cancelled by
channel 4. i am a straight 16 yr old and this channel has taught me alot about people of
different sexual orientations n i think its a disgrace how it has been cancelled because of
shitty big brother!! the nation are sick of bb n want something different and exciting to
watch... rather that self-obsessed wannabees trying to get famous. sugar rush is not just a tv
show, it is educational to all females (and males) and has been a real asset to young girls'
lives over the past few years. it is a huge shame its fans will not get to see the end of the
story for kim, sugar and saint. channel 4 have made a huge mistakes deciding to cancel the 3rd
series, pretty soon people are going to get fed up of watching the same types of people
entering and leaving the bb house in the ridiculous reality shows. bring back sugar rush and
add variety to channel 4 before its reputation goes downhill.

My girlfriend and I LOVE the show. We are not from the UK, but from California. It was kinda
crappy how they just left everything hanging! We TOTALLY MISS the show and want it to come back
on or maybe another channel pick it up. I hope someone sees the potential in this show and
grabs a hold of it!!

into the whole its great for lesbians/gay thing i just think that Sugar Rush was a great
British show that people of all ages and backgrounds could relate to. Could they not even put

Another channel should definately buy the rights for this, easily one of the best late night

Can't believe it's been cancelled, even though i've known about it for a while. lol. I loved
watching Sugar Rush, I could really relate to Kim in series 1 cos that's what it was like for
me when I came out. And the way they left series 2 was so open-ended that I don't understand
why they've just cancelled it like that for the sake of watching a bunch of idiots in a house
full of cameras. The only other show for us gay girls is The L Word, which I love. But our
countries' lesbians need a show over here as well that relates to them. Sugar Rush was it, now

"Skins" was only on E4, and that was
huge, a second series is definitely being made, and I bet another one after that mased on how
big it was and that was only on E4, which not everyone has. The Channel 4 company could put a

The thing I don't get is that Big Brother is not just on Channel 4, It's on More 4, E4, E4+1.
Big Brother Live (and who, really, watches that), Big Brothers Big Mouth, Big Brothers Little

Ok so if C4 wanna cancel it then just shows that they are not fulfilling their supposed
mentality of bringing young, cutting edge British talent to their schedule challenging the
mainstream programmes. I know that Sugar Rush didn't have a huge success when t first came out
but that's because they didn't market it well. I only recently found it and have a lot of
friends in Europe and one of them recommended it to me. If people in Europe are watching it via
internet sites and UK people are instead of watching it on Channel 4, def sure that's y the
rating are lower than estimated. They should give it one more season..now a lot of people love

Even though I'm not a girl he he sugar rush was very very funny. I've the show several times
bth series 1 and 2. By just bein on here I have found out that Channel 4 as cancelled it to
show more shit like big bore, they said that at the start of the year they wanted to devote

Channel 4, you need to listen to whats going on. Sugar rush was amazing, it was inspired,
cutting edge, incrediably brave and despite what some ingnorant people think, not just for
those struggling with their sexuality. Furthermore, it ensured that people who arn't so into
the reality tv (and with each new series of Big brother this number multiplies) stay with the
channel and on their side. It even made some people get back into Big Brother, as they'd watch
the end of it before sugar rush and become involved. Don't back out now on the risk that payed
off channel four. Listen to your audiences and give us our sugar fix!!!

I think this is a really bad decision by Channel 4. Yes ok BB is one of their biggest
programmes but, as Lenora said, theres enough room for a non-reality tv show as well. There's
seven days to choose from - surely they could find a slot somewhere?
Sugar Rush is one
of my favourite shows as it does bring up challenges that many people deal with - and it really
makes me laugh aha. It appeals to the large teenage audience that often tune into Channel 4, so
why cancel it? The ratings surely improved from the first to the second series simply based on
word of mouth. Many of my straight and gay female and male friends watch it and i think it's a
realy shame that there won't be a third series.
I've been looking forward to it for a
while, so went out and bought the box set for both series to cure my withdrawal
symptoms!

Sugar Rush helped girls with so many issues that they maybe thought they couldn't talk to
anyone about, and to cancel that sort of help and advice is...well really stupid. Boo!! to
channel 4 and i hope they have the intelligence to bring back a much loved show.

This show was really important for teenagers coming to terms with their sexuality and becoming
young adults. Some teenagers dont feel able to talk to their parents or peers and the fact that
they realise they are not alone in the world is just so so important. Considering Channel 4
have half of their schedule time devoted to reality tv i would have thought that realism would
have featured high in their priorities. To cancel this show is a mistake - simple as that. The
ratings are high and growing, the fundamental storyline is affecting teenagers worldwide. I
really do hope enough people comment .

My opinion of channel 4 has been lowed for the first time in many years. To cancel such a
great TV show I am shocked, shocked to the very core. There are so many loose ends which need
dealing with; C4 should give at least one more season of SR so we can sleep at night. A
boycott is on order if SR does not return, how rude of them to cancel it!

I've been eager for more sugar rush for ages and now there won't be any more. :( I really,
really love the show! It's been so hard for me to get a hold of the series, but it has been
totally worth it. (sometimes I really hate Sweden) There's just something about the show that
makes me respect it so much, it's so nice to see lesbian teenage girls instead of the old
stereotype with butch women with hair all over themselves. Maybe the society wasn't ready for
more sugar rush, I think that's too bad because it really shows a more realistic version of
being gay, it's not always about the gay clubs and the shagging around all night long like some
people think. (like some of my friends think) It really breaks my heart when shows with actual
depth gets cancelled because people doesn't realize how big importance it can have on someone's
life. Sugar rush was something I could relate to, I've always felt that the L word didn't
really fit in with my life, since the people are older than I am, but sugar rush really had an
impact on me. It's a pity, and I'm going to miss it. Sorry for my bad english.

There are not many lesbian dramas on tv these days and when they are the characters usually end
up very unhappy so it was nice to see a fresh new drama that was funny but also serious in
places and that young girls growing up and even older girls could relate too.
It would have
been great to see another series of this show as bad girls is probably the only other tv series
with "lesbians" in and this has gone down hill. Why do all the great lesbian shows always get
taken off air after just a few series??

I live in America and I absolutely love Sugar Rush. I am a fan of Big Brother also but Sugar
Rush is so much better. There really is no real reason to cancel a show that was so popular and

Big Brother isn't on all year round why can't it be showen on one of the other 40 weeks of the
year?.Or i don't mind waiting up till 12 o'clock for it.Channel 4 make me sick more than happy

I cant believe that channel 4 want to cancel sugar rush for big brother i mean come on BIG
BROTHER the 'reality' show.
Sugar rush was a drama but it had such a huge impact on viewers
and personally a bigger impact than big brother!
The show helped me find myself as a person
before watching that show i felt that i couldnt be accepted and i knew so many people who
watched sugar rush of all sexualitys and it made me realise that being bi (even though kim was
a lesbian but still lol) wasn't something to be ashamed of.
If the show had that impact on
me and im only one person as a whole it must of affected a huge amount of people!
Not only
in the form of acceptance but some of the scenes were great not just for girls but for pervy
guys lol.
Personally i think channel 4 are mad i mean they already have big bro live as
well how much worse can it get!
I hope all these comments are shown to channel 4 to realise
how much of a stupid mistake they really are making!

It is a great series and is ground breaking. Channel 4 must realize it's sociological
importance. It's not just some entertainment. The series has depth and the actors as well. I
can't believe channel 4 exec's had overlooked that. Is it all about money nowadays?!..Air
sloppy shows that earn bucks rather that air quality ones that can truly inspire people and
even change the world? I have a suggestion, why not look for other tv stations to pick it up,
It can be produce in US. I'm sure there are lots that'd be interested. I just hope channel 4
will sell the rights.

It seems to me that all the shows i really start to get into get cancelled. I must be a curse
or something. Sugar Rush is a brilliant show and i think Channel 4 are stupid for cancelling it
for something so inane as Big Brother, i know that lots of people like it but there's just
nothing unique or inspiring about it anymore, it's just people getting humiliated. =/ Sugar
Rush is inspiring and fun at the same time and i think that it deserves to be on more than Big
Brother does.

I am an Aussie and discovered this show bout a month ago and i just love it! Iam even getting
the seasons shipped over to me cause i love it soo much. I cant beleive they canceled it so
quickly thats really not on especially when they have built up such a broad following, i mean i
live all the way in Australia and still think cancelling the show is wrong. Bring it

I am 30 years old and recently 'out'. This show is a refreshing change showing the innocence of
teens exploring their sexuality. Despite the fun side, it has a serious message and I only wish
a show like this had been around when I was a teenager as it would really have made a huge
difference to my life. We NEED shows like Sugar Rush so that we in the gay community are not
forgotten and have something we can personally relate to. Come on Channel 4, give us series 3!

I used to love C4 for showing all the best programmes, such as Sugar Rush. I now have a new
found hate for C4. Big Brother is past it's sell by date now. Sugar Rush is brilliant to watch,
but more importantly there are people that can really relate to the characters in it. It needs

Channel 4 knows it made a huge mistake

I'm so gutted that the show has been cancelled. Fair enough Big Brother is a popular show but
it's getting out of hand. Why favour a pointless reality show (which BB is, at the end of the
day) over a show that is actually helping people. When Sugar Rush started I was trying to come
to terms with my sexuality and it really did help me.
I hope Channel 4 see sense soon and
change their minds, even if it's just for one more series!

I'm from America, and I loved the show. The episode where the Mom got crabs from Kim was

I have just found out Sugar Rush has been cancelled, and I can not believe it. The show was
just absolutely amazing, such a breathe of fresh air...not to mention pure hilarious footage!
It is without a doubt my all-time favourite TV show. I am so sad now, that it has been

It's unfortunate that the show has been cancelled, season one was well written and season two
progressed our involvement with the characters. oung women learning about their sexuality have
some of the roughest years between 18 and 21, Sugar Rush had the opportunity to illustrate
these years and show young lesbians and bi-sexual women that their suffering and confusion was
not abnormal. It's a real shame that we have Hollyoaks and American programmes like the OC
which create a collective agemcy for young heterosexual teenagers whilst homosexual and
bisexual teenagers are overlooked.
Congarulations though to the cast and crew of Sugar Rush
for producing two season of comedy drama to be proud of.

How is it possible that channel 4 can cancel such an important programme. I know a few people
who 'came out' such was the impact of sugar rush. We all have a coming out film and its just
so so sad.
Sugar Rush highlighted so many steroetypes and made them main stream. Any one
who would choose to watch Big Brother over sugar rush needs a brain transplant. So much more
can be learnt about society from programmes like sugar rush.

Insane mistake of Channel four now that Big Brother 2007 will most likely bomb re: Celebrity
BB. They must be kicking themselves now that they don't have a show which had 15-20% of the
viewers at 10:50 at night watching the tail end of a reality show to get to Sugar Rush. this
could have increased viewers for BB somehow surely.
There are so many woeful reality
shows on channel four at the moment, it's depressing. What to wear, what to eat, how to sit,
what to do when your children are bad.. etc etc. It's a blanket phenomena across all channels
since they discovered its cheaper to produce this mind numbingly rubbish than scripted drama of
any kind (you know, the old fashioned way with writers, directors, actors..)
Hollyoaks
really does not count as a drama, and they really don't have any outstanding US dramas on their
schedules anymore. Ugly Betty is enjoyable and affecting but not addictive and
God-I-Need-To-Watch-Or-I'll-Go Blind as it should be. Channel Four used to be pioneers of
bringing great US shows to terrestrial, but how they let highly rated House, Heroes, Grey's
Anatomy, Prison Break slip through their fingers I'll never know.
If you can't buy em,
make em. They seem to be doing that with Skins but instead have given up Sugar Rush which
already has a strong market share, loyal fanbase, good dvd sales, recognisable name, critical
acclaim and a nice shelf of awards.
I am and have been addicted to many dramas in my
time, mostly American as the format of British series often lets itself down with the lack of
overall arcs and time for plot and character development with a shoddy 10-14 episode
run.
That being said, Sugar Rush was one of those such dramas. As delightfully queer
as Queer as Folk (who hasn't masturbated with an electric tooth brush in lieu of the real
thing?), with strong relatable characters like Bad Girls while as mouthy as as Charlotte Church
after one too many.
Sugar Rush, I will miss you. I will miss the heady teen
excitement I knew only a few years ago of going out, getting trashed and ending the night
snogging your best friend in the toilets. I will miss the fun plots (ala breaking into a
Russians house) and the hurt and anguish all too recognisable in unrequited love.
Most of all, I will miss what could have been - A proper relationship between Sugar
and Kim, the pivotal moment it felt the whole series was gearing towards- Just keeping them
apart long enough with prison and Saint to keep it interesting and so it would have been oh so
satisfying when it finally happened.
I miss what was and what could have been, and I
wish everyone involved great success and many more great jobs to come (it's bloody hard to get
employed in the arts, I know, though I think you may have a jump on me..)
So goodbye

occasionally produces. It's heartbreaking to see a series of this calibre getting the axe and I
think Channel 4 should seriously reconsider their decision.

Eh, what a bummer!
Sugar Rush was a fantastic series. It was fun. Hysterical. The
acting was brilliant. The characters were colorful and... well, crazy, but that's why you loved
them. I'm sad that it's cancelled. I loved the show. I really, really wanted to see it continue
on. I wanted to know where/how these characters ended up.
Again, what a bummer... It's
a shame that reality tv has become the big phenomenom that it has. Not everyone wants to watch
a show where a camera follows a group of people, who live in a house together, as they form
alliances, lie, backstab, cheat on spouses back home, pick fights with each other, etc. I
wouldn't really consider that 'reality tv', but television, in my opinion, is supposed to be a
break from reality. I want to view dramas. Well-told, well-written stories. Funny, quirky
comedies. Not this reality tv shite.
Anyway, rant over.
I can't believe Sugar
Rush got the ax, I wish it hadn't, but there's not anything I can do about that, except
complain about it on this website, apparently.

I honestly thought Sugar Rush was a fantastic show. Excellently written and wonderfully acted,
it was relevant and dramatic but never dreary or depressing. It dealt with serious "issues"
but with a (thankfully) light touch. I think the characters' stories are unfinished and am
genuinely disappointed by Channel 4's decision to cancel the show.

We start to get a good programme that shows a more realistic view of growing up and
experiancing love life and being gay and they cut it. Thats classic, for years channel 4 has
always given us documentries on being gay, gay relationships, transgender issues etc...they
have always been diverse in there programming. So this dosent make sense. A good programme that
was looked forward by more than just gay girls. so bring it back. All the actors and actresses
were superb.

I loved Sugar Rush,it opened my eyes and mind to a wider world,and thanks to Olivia's fantastic

I fell for my best friend, its torture, I loved the way Sugar Rush dealt with it. I cant help
but root for Sugar and Kizza to get together, please bring it back, I kinda need to know if it
works out between the two of them.

C4 cancelling Sugar Rush is an outrage. I mean if BB has to be on 10pm-11pm, I wouldn't mind
watching Sugar Rush at 11pm. Get a grip C4, get some backbone and get series 3 back on. You are
going to shoot yourself in the foot.
P.s why have you moved the current series of ER to C4
from E4 and repeating it on sundays. stuff second chance sunday, give sugar rush a first chance
on sundays instead.

Firstly, Lenora Crichlow and Olivia Hallinan should be thanked...not only for putting on
such fantastic and captivating performances of Sugar and Kim, but for also stepping outside the
mould. It would've been so easy for them to have auditioned for other projects, where the work
would have not been so (some could say) emotionally demanding and controversial - but they
helped bring to us something truly enlightening, beautiful, remarkable and unforgettable.
Olivia and Lenora have both commented in the past that they weren't really sure at the
beginning as to how it would all turn out...but I guess the hard work really played off. The
entire cast should be thankedof both series, including Sarah-Jane Potts, Sara Stewart and
Richard Lumsden - you are all key elements in the series too.
I remember the very
first time I watched "Sugar Rush", I was hooked. Never had I seen something so highly original
in its style. It was hilarious, yet it incorporated some moments that gave a good way to deep
thought for the viewer. Its a show that has substance to it - captivating, entertaining, and
yet thought provoking. Theres nothing in this programme that can't touch someone - anyone, on a
certain level. It explores a wide range of issues - from sexuality, to dysfunctional
families,
from suicide to drugs. Let me tell you - this programme can still be enjoyed,
even if the issues that concern you dont concern you sexuality. Anyone who thinks this is just
a "dyke show" for people who want to watch girls getting off with each other is wrong.
I know this programme helped me through some stuff...and you can see from other fan
responses that Im not alone in that sense. This programme truly caters for an auidence that
practically no other programme broadcasted in british television history has catered for. It
therefore seems very foolish of Channel 4 to cancel something so uniquely special from its
television scheduling timetable.
Its common knowledge that this show was adored by fans and
critics alike, and received good ratings. Channel 4 have always been a bit difficult when it
came to "Sugar Rush", especially with
the time slot it was given.
To be very
honest, the fact that BB is replacing it seems like pure insanity to me. BB has its OWN
channel, doesnt it? Its on 24 hours a day anyway. I remember I used to wake up at three in the
morning when I couldn't sleep during the summer - and guess what? They were broadcasting
footage of the housemates SLEEPING...wow...i never knew people could do that...just incredible
really :S. To be very frank, Channel 4 is going to have to start considering people who don't
obsess over this dying reality television trend. Its also common knowledge that BB provides the
big bucks for Channel 4...
proving that all they care about it their annual profit. Its so
nice to know that all these business people running the channel only care about money, and not
what people want. The purpose of a business
is to provide what the consuming popualtion
demands...so why the hell have they cancelled "Sugar Rush"?? The only reason why BB generates
so much cash is becasue of these mindless idiots who watch
it obsessively and vote 10 times
every week for the same retarded person they idolise, who is bascially on the show just to have
their 15 minutes of fame. The ironic thing is that its called "reality tv"...if you call a
bunch of retards prancing around in a desperate attempt to make something
of the
delinquents they are, then Channel 4 have a very weird perception indeed of what "reality"
actually means. If you want reality - look at whats explored in "Sugar Rush". They are REAL
problems and issues that millions of teenagers - aross the entire world - face and deal with.
Come on Channel 4...give your viewing population something that will actually be of use to
them, and not some idiotic show that just promotes the idea of 15 minutes of fame...its lame.
All I now know is that there are loads of good, free thinking people out there.
Everyone who comments on this website is a person of that kind. Im glad people hate BB as much
as I do, and see that something
like "Sugar Rush" has something to be savoured and
remembered, whilst BB is monotonous and boring. Every
one who made "Sugar Rush" deserves a
medal AND a trophy. Olivia and Lenora - you are truly inspiring people. I hope that more actors
and actresses follow your example, and take part in projects that dont
fit into a given
trend of the broadcasting media. Thankyou for putting so much work into something so special!
Screw Channel 4 - you don't need them anyway to be good actresses. I truly respect you both
:D

mean...com'on! bring this show back!! it's helped sooooo many young girls.....even the not so
young. i was dying to see a show that got it right. when i saw Sugar Rush...i felt at ease. it

it is unfathomable to me that channel 4 is not bringing this show back. it such a great show.

Can't believe that they cancelled series 3 just for people to watch more big brother! i mean,
how much of watchin people sleep, eat and talk do you really wanna watch!!

I felt that sugar rush was one of the best shows on tv. It was such an inspiration to see such
a young girl so grounded and at ease with her own sexuality, i'm sure it helped a lot of other
young girls out there feel that they no longer have to hide in the closet and that the friends
who understand, are the friends worth keeping :]

Cancelling one of the best shows on tv is bollocks. I'm moving to Brighton soon and was hoping

In my opinion channel
four have always been about showing programs which help break boundaries.
From the days of
the first ever lesbian kiss on brookside to the full night dedicated to ellen degeneres coming
out episode, i have always felt that channel four did so much good for the visibility and
non-stereotypical representation lesbian/gay community.
I think cancelling a show
like sugar rush is a tragedy and believe channel four would do well to rethink this
decision...and perhaps stop putting all its eggs in the reality tv basket as well!!

Sugar Rush was probably the best thing channel four have ever done and what a shame they are
getting rid of it! the story lines were funny, heartwarming and the cast hotties - even nathan!

I have always watched both series and Cant Belive they are leavin it like that. Channel 4 you
should know better than to leave it likes this and you know your going to have problems on your
hands.
SO if i was you i would make a last series because everything ends in three and not
twos and we as in me and everyone needs to know whats to happen next!

oh my god why have they cancelled suger rush i am a big big fan i have been from the beging i
have series one and two and have been whating for number three why has it been drop tell me plz
i am very fucking upset about it and want it back i love kim she is so sweet and funny and
suger is just a bicth but that is what i like about her lol ans saint oh well lets just say
they things she like i like to kims mum and dad what can i say they are fucking mad and as for

It really sucks about sugar rush, it was one of the best shows on tv, i think it was really
good for young girls who are scared or not sure what to abt there sexuality, a show like this
will give them a hint in

i cant believe sugar rush has ended, I really learned a lot from it and I'm sure other people
did to. it was fantastic to watch and the characters really came to life which made you believe
it was real. channel 4 have made a big mistake!
